MARIE STILLMAN

Marie Stillman fue una pintora prerrafaelita británica. El arte prerrafaelita quiso recuperar la esencia del arte gótico. Sus obras siguen las características de este movimiento: muy coloridas, gran detallismo, tono romántico e idealización. Su temática principal son las figuras de mujeres idealizadas, personajes y escenas literarias y algunos paisajes. 

Marie Stillman was a British Pre-Raphaelite painter. Pre-Raphaelite art wanted to recover the essence of Gothic art. Her works follow the characteristics of this movement: very colorful, great detail, romantic tone and idealization. Its main theme is the idealized figures of women, characters and literary scenes and some landscapes.
