Georgia O'Keeffe

Georgia O’Keeffe es considerada una de las máximas representantes del arte norteamericano del siglo XX. Sus pinturas van desde sus obras de la década de 1910 (siendo pionera de la abstracción), pasando por sus obras de flores que la hicieron especialmente conocida, hasta los rascacielos de Nueva York y vistas de la ciudad y las pinturas de Nuevo México (donde representa el paisaje y la mezcla de culturas de este territorio). O'Keeffe ha sido reconocida como la "madre del modernismo estadounidense”.

Her paintings range from her works of the 1910s (pioneering abstraction), through her flower works that made her especially well known, to New York skyscrapers and views of the city, and paintings from New Mexico (where represents the landscape and the mixture of cultures of this territory). O'Keeffe has been recognized as the "mother of American modernism".
